How Do I Get This Out?

I am remodeling the daycare bathroom. In the meantime, they are using my full bath, which is essentially my children's bathroom. It is adjacent to the playroom, but around the corner. Hope that makes sense.

Today during art, a cup of water (for rinsing brushes) was accidentally spilled on the floor. I grabbed paper towels and the dcg who spilled it helped clean it up. During this time, my 3.5yo dcb took off for the bathroom, and in the 5 seconds it took for me to realize he was leaving the room, it was too late. He wouldn't stop when I called after him to wait. As he was turning the corner and walking the 5 feet down the hallway to the bathroom, he put his paint filled hands ALL OVER the corner and down both walls in the hallway.

My hallway walls are a colored plaster faux finish (they are shiny and resemble stone).

I spot tested an area with magic eraser (rubs off the finish) soap and water (didn't work) and goo gone (removed PLASTER).

I am irked! 1. dcb knows we all go together to wash hands. 2. He did NOT listen when I told him to stop and 3. He laughed hysterically and thinks it's funny.

Any ideas or suggestions? I would just paint over it, but it needs to be sanded and re-plastered otherwise it adds a layer and is uneven.

What kind of paint? Is it water based? If so, I would try to saturate and then dab up with a sponge or clean cloth.

I honestly don't know. A parent brought in a ton of art supplies as a donation, and these were unlabeled (the kind that are a few small paint containers on a plastic line and have to be popped open individually).

Plain old soap (dawn dish detergent) and water didn't touch it.

I'm trying not to complain too much, it isn't the worst daycare oops we have had before, but I REALLY don't want to have to sand and redo the bottom portion of half my hallway.

I have luck with rubbing alcohol. It even got permanent marker off my ceramic tile one time. Just use a cotton ball with it.
