There is a nasty cold runny through my daycare. It didn't seem like anything major, but I have had a few kids that are always here and never miss a day that have been out sick several days with this virus. It has to be something if parents are keeping kids home for this!!!
Well, yesterday another Dcg is coughing the entire day, is miserable, laying on her mat for most of the day, by her own choice. I didn't call dcm because dcd is away on business, and I figured I could let her take it easy for the day. At pick up, I explain dcg's day, and say you might consider keeping her out tomorrow to rest.
Of course, dcg is here first thing this morning! Dcm says she is fine, not coughing-no symptoms. Then, dcg literally hacks up in a baby's face, right in front of mom. Dcm says she has work to do, and leaves.
Dcg is excessively whiny, crying about everything, coughing non-stop, and is just a mess. Would you send home? Can I send home? Her symptoms don't fit my exclusion policy.
