Dual Applicants...

Are there any benefits/drawbacks to having my hubby listed as an applicant on the license too? The goal is for him to eventually provide care with me, but at the moment he's working for a company outside the home. I don't know if there are tax implications having us both on the license.

I'm in California, btw. Whether he's an applicant with me or listed as 'another adult in the home', I know that he will still have to have a background check and all that. We're waiting for his W-2 and refund to finish up what we need to submit our application. Super excited though!

Just make sure he goes to all of the classes with you. I don't see any issues as long as he has all of the training. In order to be a large family you will have to wait one year from when you are licensed as a small family, just an FYI. Good luck!
