    I Have Finally Had Enough!

I am terming one of my most difficult families today happyface

I am so furious with them! They told my staff they would be here at 630am Saturday. I got up at 5, showered and waited until 730. No call, no text, and no show! I decided that i'm done! I printed one of Blackcats term letters and will give it to her as soon as she shows today. It is dated for the 25th. Is it still two weeks notice if she doesn't end up getting it until this evening or later this week (whenever she decides to show up?) This has been an ongoing problem.

I would say if she doesn't show this morning, mail her a copy. Keep a copy to give her in case she shows tomorrow or later this week.

ugh- that is so rude of them! Like they just think you're automatically up at 5 am? Or that you despise sleeping in? Hope it goes well for you.

That's the worst! Especially on a Sat. and at 5 am!

Hope it goes well for you when they get the term letter!

Good for you! I have an early morning family (they get here between 6-6:15) in the mornings. You have to plan everything around getting up early. It's really hard on me personally, this has only been going on for a couple weeks for me and my body isn't used to it plus I've had a sinus infection and haven't felt 100% since Thanksgiving. I am fine with doing it because it is a huge chunk of my income and they are a nurse and law enforcement so they both work early, but if they pulled a no show, I would be livid. It's just so inconsiderate!

Personally, I would've started texting about 10 min after they were supposed to be there asking if they were on their way. Then if they didn't answer, I would start calling and being worried and say something like- I was just calling to see if everyone is alright. I'm so worried! I'll call the sheriff to do a well check pretty soon to make sure you guys are ok if I don't hear back from you!

So I ended up giving her notice Tuesday morning. She basically said "well that ****s" and left. Said they would be here today and Friday 630 am. Guess who didn't show!!!!

Oh well. I have filled her spot so good riddance!

PS she asked me to recommend another provider. I made a lame excuse, but really! You want me to recommend my friends so you can drive them crazy?

Maybe a provider list of people you DON'T like??? ::

Just kidding. I wouldn't wish a wishy-washy parent on any enemy.

                      Glad it went ok.

I too, would NEVER recommend another provider to someone I termed due to parental behavior.

What I do do though is keep business cards handy of the area Child Care Resource & Referral agency and hand them to anyone who asks.

I try not to recommend provider friends anyways because it always comes back to bite you if things don't work out.

Anyways, glad you don't have to deal with this family anymore.
