    So DCM Calls And Says....

    "Can dcb come tomorrow? Our nanny has a cold and we don't want dcb to get sick."

    First time for everything I guess. Sending your kid to daycare so they DON'T get sick. That's a new one for me.

    Once one of the mom's I babysat for had a really bad flu and asked me if I could come in for a few hours to help her out until the dad got home from work. The older child was sick too but he was getting over it and she didn't want the younger one to get sick. The older child in particular was susceptible to illness because he had an eating disorder (very plain foods and not very much), so I could understand that.

      So what did you say? I would charge double your normal rate if you agreed!

        Why do they have a daycare and a nanny? Are they just drop in care for you?

          I have families that have me and Nannies.

          it is because of the type of jobs they have that they often need around the clock care.
