Interview Politeness

I posted an infant opening because I've been trying to get an older toddler/preschooler for almost a year now and nothing is panning out. If I do get calls, they need hours outside of my times and I am not willing to negotiate that. Not for an extra hour on either end-15 minutes I would consider.

Anyway, I had an interview over the weekend and told them I have a few more set up for this week and early the following week. If they had any other questions, to let me know. She seemed hesitant about having to pay a holding fee and I figured I wouldn't hear from them. All other aspects went well. Well, I did. They want the spot as soon as they figure out finances for a holding fee. Anyway, how do I politely tell them that I have 3 other interviews and when they are all done, then I will decide who I would like to take based on who wants the spot and the "fit in ness" of the group?

How long of a wait will it be for all 3 interviews to be over and a decision made?

Q: Why are they paying a holidng fee if you are not actually holding the spot for their decision? I am not familiar with that.....

They wouldn't pay a holding fee until the spot was theirs. They don't want the spot until the end of July and I won't hold it from now until then for free.

I have an interview Thursday, Friday and possibly one on Monday.

OK, that makes sence... :::: My brain is frozen and I thought maybe you had some magical Pre-Paid Holding plan I'd be jealous of.

Maybe just tell her you will let her know by Wednesday? Sometimes I think we overshare details and end up shooting ourselves in the foot. (and by We I mean Me )

Frozen here too! My thoughts aren't coming together like I want and fingers aren't typing well either.

Things are ok. Really don't want an infant, but that is all that is out there. If I would've just taken the infant last March, I would have that toddler now. Anyway. I need to fill a spot now and I guess if I'm going to be picky with my times, I can't be picky with the age. Sigh.

I guess I will just let her know again that I have a few more interviews and will get back to her next Wednesday. I like having multiple interviews, but don't::!
