This dcg has always been high maintenance from the start. Has always been held to go to sleep at home, for a while there she was doing really good here when I would put her down to nap and go right to sleep in pack & play for me. The past 2 months or so have been getting worse and worse though.....she hardly ever plays without me around, if I walk anywhere away from her she freaks and screams and cries. Otherwise she follows me everywhere crying, or hangs at the gate crying at me. She will fall asleep easily if held, then wake up the minute you lay her down! And usually cry for at least 30 minutes if not longer before going to sleep finally. Napping after that is horrible, maybe 30-40 minutes if lucky. Just seems like the CIO method isnt working and the older she gets the worse she is getting. Attached at the hip is an understatement! I don't know what to do with her anymore, I have never had this problem in the 7 babies I have had since newborns, they all never had any problems learning to sooth themselves to sleep.

Ive had a couple kids go through a stage where they had to be near or on me & if I left room would scream! Its usually a phase that will pass (hopefully) I have a 10 month old that came to me from anothet daycare where he would not sleep ( maybe ten minutes all day) I am teaching this baby some self soothe skills & this morning he went right to sleep! Its so hard when bad habits are taught at home!
