Sometimes You Just Have To Laugh...

One of my dcms dropped off her son this morning. She was later than usual and said, "He has been throwing fits and hitting me all morning. Good luck."

I just closed the door and shook my head. First of all, if I were a parent of a young child (mine are all teenagers) I would have said, "If he gives you any problems today, give me a call and I will come and handle it."

But the funny thing to me is that he is an angel here. He knows that I WILL NOT put up with any mess, so he doesn't try it. Even though he is only 2 1/2, he knows what is going on. He asked me a few minutes ago where his mom was. I always answer, "at work". He said, "No, she at home today". And he is right - she's spending the day with his sister.

I have done a lot more head shaking (in disbelief) since I opened my doors to preschoolers last fall...

I shake my head a lot lately! Dcm says to me yesterday that dcb, who is 17 months old, new trick is putting toys in the toliet and she's getting tired of taking them out. I wanted to say have you ever thought about closing bathroom door, but I didn't because it would go over her head. She also says I can't get him to, fill the blank with anything. Yesterday it was put his coat on, it's 10 degrees here, he's 17 months old, put his coat on for him. She doesn't get it, leaves me shaking my head!

My 4 year old dcg is the sweetest thing ever! My most well behaved and loving dck! Mom and dad always comment on how bad she is. They need a break do I have an opening that day? She is drop in once a week, different days. Dad will drop off saying she is out of control. Mom calls her a monster. It really upsets me that she would say that. I know kids are different with their parents than with us. I don't see it in her. She is a little angel! I wish I could term the parents but still keep her here!
