Juliebug, I'm sorry for your loss.
My husband (and best friend since we were 15) died at age 31 the day after Christmas 2005. He bravely and courageously fought a brain tumor for 17 months. It was hard and somedays it still is even 8 years later. All the advice I have is to let yourself do what it is you need to do. Whatever it is. Cry, not cry, scream, be silent, celebrate his life or be pissed off he was taken too soon. It doesn't matter, it's all right no matter how you feel.
I also encourage you to seek out a widow's group. It's a relief to talk to others who have lost husbands. Grief is specific. There are even groups for loss of husbands in different ways including cancer. Check with the funeral home or hospice if you had them. They are a good resource for groups you could join.- Flag
