Right now she is saying whatever she has to to have an open ticket so she can find care and stay being your boss. I would have her sign an agreement to switch hours AND to give you two months notice in writing and notorized. I would also have her agree to late fees and late payment fee. If she loves you so much she will gladly agree.
So true!!I had I had something similar happen to me. I finally termed her & the claws came out. Her claim to the state was unfounded, so she filed a police report. My small claims suit for DC fees is now a bench trial because she denies owing me anything. She is taking the position she left for the safety of her child thus owes nothing. (if it were true, why did she continue to come until I termed?) This kind lives a drama filled world...., RUN!!!!

I have a DCF who didn't show up on Friday either and owed me payment. I am closed for 2 weeks but they have yet to call or drop in with my $. This is the 4th time they have been late with payment and will be surprised to know that they now owe me 25$ in late fees when they finally get in contact with me.

I let late fees slide in the past because DCD and DCM were splitting up and things were complicated for them but it's time to get serious with this DCF.

How inconsiderate to not pay your childcare provider at Christmas! Makes you feel so unappreciated.

This. Or, just term and be done with them. She's very inconsiderate, and does things only when forced to. Not a family you should have to deal with!
