I am closed tomorrow and Thursday. I notified you nearly a year ago (in Jan 2013) it's on the calendar, has been in every newsletter and there is a BIG sign on the front door that has been there the entire month.

I think most of what we say goes in one ear and right out the other.

I told all DCPS that I was closed this week and then told them that they needed to advise me before the 6th of December if they needed me for any days the following week so I can plan for it. The 6th came and went...of course no one let me know they would need me. Then last week they all start asking if they can take the kids here.......Nope! Sorry, I am closed since no one advised me before the 6th of December that they needed me for the week after Christmas.

I get two weeks off! Whohoo!

I've had a notice on CheckInKids & on the white board for a month. Friday DCM asked what days am I closed this week. I looked at her like she was speaking a foreign language. I never replied & DKG wasn't here yesterday. Will she be here today? Who knows?

My family I watch for took off from the 20th until sometime after Christmas. The dad said something about maybe bringing the kids on Friday but wasn't sure. If they do not notify me before that morning I will not be home for them to just drop off. It drives me nuts they think we sit around with nothing in our lives but just wait to watch their precious children. I only am available for their pre approved scheduled days.
