Minute Menu Pro help - Please! :)

I am considering switching to MMP with the new year and then also offering childcarepay to my dcp. I have a few questions though...

    1. When payments are made, can I designate in MMP (even if they don't use childcarepay) who made that payment? (dcm vs. dcd)

2.and then can I print a yearly reciept for just that parent for the payments they have made?

I can currently do this with the program I'm using now and I like that convenience for divorced parents...

    3. Does childcarepay allow parents to pay with a credit card? or does it have to be a checking account?

I apologize if this has already been addressed on the forum. I couldn't find these specific details in the search option. Thanks for the help!!

Yes you can assign to parents to one account. So you can choose who to bill and who to give a reciept for.

To my knowledge CCP only accepts checks. It does take about 5 business days for the check to deposit into your account so it is possible for the check to bounce and you will not know for 3-5 days

I prefer wire transfer direct from bank account

Yes you can print an end of the year statement. However make sure that parents also keep track of their own payments. Should they get audit by the IRS. they will want to see proof of payment from them.

I love using MMK. I would be lost without it.

I got an email last week with a 45 day free trial. I'd call them and ask for this deal if you try signing up (or have already signed up) and all you got was a 30 day free trial

I also love MMK Pro. I love that they don't have to pay you through childcarepay for you to mark your payments. This makes it easy when the parents give you cash or checks. I love that if the parents pay through childcarepay (it's a money transfer, not a check) the program automatically updates the payment for you. If you are looking for something to take credit cards with consider getting a card reader and app for a smart phone like PayPal or Square. As far as I know both provide a free card reader that is inserted into your headphone jack of an Android or iPhone and the app you need is free as well. There is a fee per transaction Square 2.75%, PayPal 2.7% per transaction). Square will deposit your money into your bank account and PayPal deposits it into a PayPal account and then you can choose to transfer your money into your account or you can just opt to get their free debit card and use that. Childcarepay also charges a fee, $1 per transaction. Either way whatever you choose the fees are tax deductions (100%) and well worth it.
