    One Hour!!

That's how long my 3 1/2 years old dcg just threw a fit after mommy popped in to drop the blankie off! She survived just fine without it yesterday. She hasn't thrown a fit like this in almost a year. She is FINALLY dropping off to sleep.

So much for my restful Friday with only 2 littles before my 2 weeks off!

HOLY COW!! My blood pressure has to be through the roof!!

    Whew!

Whenever I have a parent who needs to drop something off during the day, I tell them to come in quietly and leave it in the entry way. I also tell them that if their child sees them coming in and they become upset, they should be prepared to take the child with them. It's amazing how stealthy a parent can be when they know the consequences of being spotted dropping things off.

That's what killed me about this - she came a half an hour earlier than she said she would, so I wasn't looking for her. My son had just gotten home and was in the driveway. He could have very easily brought the blanket in.

I definitely would have tried to occupy her dd so she didn't see mom come in.
