    Assistant Dilemma, Advice Needed

I need an assistant in order to be with in ratios.

I hired my assistant in September, and she is fantastic. I trusted her immediately, and felt that I could leave the room in pure chaos, and she would know exactly what to do. She worked for a center previously. The only problem was that she was 5 months pregnant. I hired her anyway, and figured we would cross that bridge when we came to it. She is due late Jan, but was put on bed rest yesterday.

I've been interviewing, so I had a girl I liked come in today for a trial day. She is okay, but I don't feel like she can handle the multiple infants crying, or even one for that matter without asking me what do to. She also didn't bring lunch for a 6 hour shift, and I had to give her some of our food. Not a big deal, but kind of annoying.

This is really just a vent, but does anyone have any places I should be posting this add for an assistant? I'm posting on CL and care.com, and going broke over it! Anywhere else I'm not thinking of? TIA

Local community colleges, libraries, grocery stores....

Do you have a local employment agency? How about the work force office...where they help you file for unemployment....perhaps a qualified person is looking for a job and will see your ad...

If you have a community college that offers any type of education degree, there are usually students looking for some hands on experience. I would call and ask a professor to give your ad a shout out in class maybe.

I have an overload of family here, so I don't need an outside assistant. But if I did, it would be easy!

I live in an area with TWO large colleges (BYU and UVU). I get calls all the time with students needing to fill required experience hours. Some don't even want to be paid!

        So try any local schools.
