    My water beads smell bad

I have had them for about 2 weeks. I keep them in a Rubbermaid container with the lid on when not in use. I have had the kids use antibacterial gel before playing with them. Anyway they stink to the high heavens. They smell like a swimming pool - only one that must have green slime growing in it! Yuck!

I soaked them in some bleach water, then I tried soaking them in some vinegar water but they still smell the same only not as strong.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Mine also start to smell. I don't typically use them more than 2 or 3 weeks before throwing them out. I do have a sensory table that we use and I tend to keep the lid off when we have them in there.

I kept mine in a sterilite container and they started smelling mildewy. I tried to dry them out but I ended up just throwing them away.
