Hitting

I have a daycare child who is driving me nuts by 9 am. She is obsessed with hitting my daughter. Time outs are not effective and the hitting lasts all day long. This needs to stop. The dcg is 3 months older than my daughter. Mom doesn't seem to disipline her much. Help

There was another thread recently on alternatives to time out--you might want to check that out. There were a lot of good suggestions on there. How old is the girl?
