I had a DCP tell me her son's socks were a little dirty after daycare yesterday. I smiled & replied, "As hard as I try, I cannot get parents to wipe their feet when they come in." (She looked down & noticed her own dirty tracks.)

What clever comeback have you said to parents?

LOL ... I can never understand why parents care if their kids clothes are dirty. They are kids and that's why they invented washers! And, if you didn't bring them outside, they would be complaining about that!

Me: "So you'll be picking up after lunch. Thanks for letting me know"

Dcm didn't try that again. And since she didn't tell dcb that he did actually need to take a nap I made sure to call dcm when we sat down for lunch & let her know he'd be ready to go in 45 min.

I had a Dcd tell me he forgot the check that dcm gave him to give to me. I said that's okay I'll just sacrifice groceries this week.....then a long silence and he said I'll go get it. I said okay that works for me.
