When I first introduced the kids to them I had a couple 2 year olds that tried to put them in their mouth, so I only let my 3 year olds play with them.

I keep them in a plastic storage container with enough water in them to cover the beads. When I store them like that they normally last about a month because I keep adding fresh water to them to keep them hydrated.

I've used them but I read somewhere that they are highly toxic so I maintained constant supervision throughout. Just in case.

They enjoyed using them but I was a little stressed so probably won't use them again. I saw Pinterest pin once where someone used the tapioca balls used in bubble drinks but I can't find it. They have a similar texture but not as much variety in the colors.

Here are a couple other threads about these. I love them! I make glow in the dark ones and the kids LOVE them! I use them for all ages (supervised of course) and we use them outside in the splash pool. I've even used them in discovery bottles.

Daycare Center and Family Home owners, Directors, Operators and Assistants should post and ask questions here.

We use them a lot! I get mine at the dollar tree and walmart and store them in an old coffee container that I keep refreshing the water for a few weeks until they start to deteriorate and we have a squishing party The kids love them. My younger kids use them at 18mos or so but I keep a close eye and by 2 they are pros,

I have a friend who LOVES these edible ones for her daughter but I've never tried them http://www.funathomewithkids.com/201...ini-water.html

Mouthers will eat them. They will not harm them in small amounts, but you will want to watch carefully.

We do not save them beyond a week or so; they just get yucky.

The kids will "squash" them. They will also throw them around if you let them (they bounce.)

Other than that, we have a good time with them, but throw them away when they begin to stink/get dirty/kids get bored...etc.
