I'm 27 and have been doing daycare for just over a year. I have four children of my own (9, 6.5, 3.5 and 2.5) so even though I'm young I have a pretty good handle on this! :: Plus, I thought it was pretty darn funny to go through licensing knowing that I could do my licensor's job - I'm a Licensed Social Worker by trade......but I make a heck of a lot more money doing daycare!

I signed out for this one! So many people won't take me serious, or think I have any REAL knowledge or experience just because of my age. I know how Newtodaycare22 feels! I'm 22 yrs old...

I'm 44, started my daycare when my oldest was 7 and my youngest was 8 months, took a two year break back in 2008 and just reopened in June.

just turned 25 in August. I have a 3 year old of my own and a Bachelor's degree in early childhood development and education. I think some parents have decided not to use me because I'm young...but oh well. Most of the parent's I've got seem to see me totally as an equal and respect my education, experience, and ideas about things.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I am 29, been licensed for less than a year now...I have a 4 year old, a 2.5 year old and trying for baby #3! I am a coastie wife, and really wanted to stay home with my boys and still be able to make some $$$. I advertised, got one, and then another and then...well, I am full with 12...wouldnt want to be doing anything else. Growing up my mom ran an inhome daycare so to me, this is normal and fun!

Mid 30's. I have worked with children in some capacity for 13 years and I opened my daycare business just over a year ago.

                          47. Worked outside the home for 13 years then got married and decided to work at home. DC seemed like a good solution, as I grew up with Mom doing it. It has been going well for over 16 years now.
