    Paint for Styrofoam?

We made Christmas bells this morning out of styrofoam cups.

I had the kids paint them and then add some glitter.

Well, as I was dusting off the excess glitter, a bunch of the paint just chipped off too.

Do I need to use special paint for styrofoam???

Have any of you decorated styrofoam? What did you use?

Please help. Thank you in advance!

If you mix elmers glue with the paint, it sticks better especially on slick finishes like styrofoam.

Handy tip! Didn't know you could paint it. Spray paint melts it... Wonder if a plastic spray paint would work...
