Babies Setting Each Other Off!! Very Hard Day :(

I'm having a rough, rough day today.

New 12 month old dcg started yesterday. I have one other young dcg (14 months). All the rest are over 2.5yrs.

So my 14 month old was out most of yesterday at the doctor so things went pretty smoothly with the new 12 month old.

Today has been nuts. One starts crying and it sets the other off and then I have 2 screaming babies and 6 older kids asking for help with this and that. If they aren't snacking they are screaming. And if I carry them both they both cry so that's not even helping.

I tried to lay them down for a morning nap and every time one cried a little the other was up and screaming. I'm dreading naptime.

I just really hope the new dcg adjusts soon otherwise I'll go crazy. Otherwise I made just be cut out for the older kids and max of one baby.

I hope it goes good for you!! When the babies start screaming and continue it, they set my older ones off as well. If they are fed, changed, etc. I lay them down.

I have been known to ask the older ones to help entertain the babies - it keeps everybody occupied, at least for a little bit. That age between about 10 and 16 months can be the hardest on everybody, IMO.
