I saw this thread on Monday and didn't respond because I didn't know of any good deals for day care toys or supplies. I just have to share my experience with one Cyber Monday "sale", though.
The weekend before Thanksgiving, my dd and I went to the local mall. I saw a sweater that I liked. It was originally priced at $47 and was on sale for $22 that day. It was a good deal but I talked myself out of buying it because we were hosting Thanksgiving and I couldn't justify the extra expense at that time. By the following Tuesday, though, I decided I really wanted that sweater. I went back and found that the price had gone up to $35. I bought it anyway, thinking that at least I was still saving $12.
I liked the sweater so much that I decided I'd like another in a different color. I checked the store's website to see if I could order another online and save myself another trip to the mall. The price online was 19.99!
I was disappointed that I had just spent $35 at the store when I could have ordered 2 sweaters for a little more than the price of that one but that's life. In the meantime, I also got a 15% off coupon in the mail that I could use if I waited until Cyber Monday to order. Well...when I went to place the order on Cyber Monday, I found the online price had gone up from 19.99 to $35!!
I decided to hold off at that point. Last night, out of curiosity, I checked online again and guess what? The price of the sweater is now listed at 16.99! I ended up ordering 2 sweaters and a couple of other things that were also on sale. I used my coupon and got 15% off the entire order and free shipping. What would have cost me $166 without a sale or $142 on Cyber Monday ended up costing me $65 last night. Cyber Monday has good deals on some things but it isn't always what it's cracked up to be!
