    Tempera Paint

    is it possible to thicken up the washable tempera paint? its to thin for what i need and dont want to go buy a diff brand just for one craft

    You could try this:

    Water-based tempera paint is popular in schools and and art classes, but it's often easier and more effective to work with if you thicken it up.


    You could also add corn syrup to it, depending on what the craft is. Corn syrup will make the paint shiny and a little thicker.

        It sounds like the corn starch will make it thicker than corn syrup would.? The corn syrup does make it a little thicker, but it's more of a slimy thickness than a dry thickness, if that makes sense.
