    A Rant

So Thanksgiving- we invited my parents, my kids, my daughter-in-law, & my husband's older sister and her SOs. She has an open marriage, so we invited her boyfriend & husband. All is fine. Thursday AM she texts me to see if a friend can come with b/c she doesn't have anywhere to be. I say sure. Well she shows up w/ her bf. Her husband shows up w/ the guest, and one of his girlfriends! We've never met this girl before, and he never even asked if he could bring her. Rude! (My parents also invited someone w/o even asking me first..who didn't show up. Turns out, my husband doesn't care for her, so all's well she didn't show.) They then all occasionally rub each other's backs & snuggle. A bit of PDA. My parents are very conservative & were having a hard time understanding their relationships. Even I was a bit confused by who's with whom, since the only one I knew about was SIL's bf, hence why I invited him. I've met him before. SIL gets smashed & passes out at 8. The rest of their troupe leaves at 830 for a movie, taking her with them. So, yeah..Thanksgiving. Last week was one of paid vacation weeks, so today I start back to work..and I spent half the night with a very nauseous stomach. My son woke up at 530, and I either got food poisoning from leftovers or I glutened myself or had casein. I have leaky gut bad today and have already had it coming out both ends. I have no backup and my husband has no sick days left this yr. They'll let him go if they can get a guy to come in, but probably not for several hrs. So tired and cramping, nauseous. Glad I just have the baby today.

Sorry the holiday was so crazy but I guess when you invite family, you invite the craziness in too. I am sure that holds true for most families.

Either way, it still sounds like it was a good Thanksgiving and everyone had a good time.

I also agree with PP, it makes a good story anyways....

Sorry you are feeling under the weather....hoping it passes soon.

We had a SUPER quiet thanksgiving at home this year, due to the one we had last year (it was INSANITY).

I'm glad it's over for you and hope you feel better asap!

Thamks all. I've had some broth & banana. The baby s content to crawl around by me & play with toys & my son is watching cartoons. Not the most productive day..Haven't even done dishes yet, but glad I don't have to leave home to go to work.
