Found this mom looking for Childcare and had to share:



My husband and I have four handsome boys we are being childcare for, as its time for mommy to get a job now that we have baby #5 on the way. I want them all in the same daycare! I will not separate them. & you must be able to watch my baby.. Must be willing to accept state pay, since we can't afford $125/week/child. That would be just one of our paychecks! This will possibly turn into a nanny job since I would rather know how my children are being cared for.. I'll be filling paper work out on Monday for state assistance. I would also prefer you not have any children as you'll be more concerned for them than mine... If interested in setting an interview & meeting them please contact me via email. Hmm, I don't know of any State Subsidy programs that will contract non-licensed providers like nanny's unless they are family ... but I suppose the rules can be different in other states. I know in mine (CA) they don't pay nanny's because of the higher pay and lack of regulations on them.

I suppose she could look for a new child care provider that is just starting out and has no clients yet. Seems like high maintenance to me, IDK why. the vibe I get from reading that just creams "I am special".

I always thought I'd love to be a nanny. In fact, one of my former dcfs pulled her 2 ds and asked if I wanted to be their nanny. No thanks to that one, she was a bit of a flake. But it'd be nice to mess up somebody else's house for a change.

Thinking about it, who'd want to be her dcp? It's a big risk if she decides to pull them out for any reason. Good grief, there goes your whole dc!

Sounds like it would be better for her to stay home. She has five young kids....what job would be worth going back to work? Besides that, you don't get special on state assistance and wanting all five in the same daycare and the provider not have any children of their own. good luck with that.

She would do great here if she worked the night or evening shift. In iowa you can have the child care provider come to your home if you have three or more kids. It's a HUGE payday of 600 a week with no expenses.

If she had school agers and worked the day shift the money would be 480 a week.

Great Nanny job here. She would have tons of interest.

If you have kid after kid you can't afford you can do well here. The child care subsidy alone is over 30K a year TAX free. That's 15 dollars an hour TAX free. The food stamp subsidy here would be another 7-8 k a year. The health insurance would be another 70 grand a year.

There's free housing and free utilities too. At tax time there's earned income credit. It's endless. I don't know about other states but here in Iowa the standard of living would be way way above the average working family here. Yes you would get a well paid Nanny with 5 kids as long as the hours were right to maximize the free.

In CA they will pay for a non-licensed provider through pace-app as long as you're 18+ and get LiveScanned. That's how I started. They don't pay as much as a licensed provider but for 3-5 kids?? Cha-Ching!

My state subsidy program will pay non-licensed providers but only if care is provided outside the child's (in this case, children's) home.

The rate they pay is about 40% less than they will pay a licensed provider. Like licensed providers, the caregiver can charge whatever she wants and bill the parent the difference.

I live in a state that allows one of the highest # of children per provider and I dont know anyone who would have room/spots for 4 kids plus an infant.

Plus like Nan says, a big family that takes up more than 1/2 your spaces would be too big of a risk. If they leave or you term, it would be like starting over. HUGE loss of income at one time.

I think the mom in this ad should just stay home and figure out how to split shifts between her and her DH for care duties.

Why would having child #5 on the way mean it's time to go back to work? Especially if you aren't going to make enough money to pay for childcare and need the state to pay for it??

The best is when they are full time college students getting the full Pell Grant and Iowa grant to pay for college. They don't have to work much if at all and have extra money from the grants and the earned income tax credit every year. The state doesn't use them to determine food stamps, housing, medical or electrical assistance so they do pretty well. I had a client of one child, working part time get about $3000 back from taxes and about the same back from grants (community college) so she had a good $6000 (not including FIP cash assistance or child support) a year to spend on whatever because her living expenses were paid by the state. Ive even had clients get free cars and phone assistance. It blows my mind, something definitely needs to be fixed.

So true. Years ago, I had a friend who had a cousin and this cousin was bragging about having more kids to get more money from the state, especially the EIC.
I also worked in a center with low income families on assistance and some (not all) always had their hair and nails done, but didn't work so they also bragged about going to these pampering appointments, drove expensive suv's, etc... Now I'm not saying some of these parents didn't save their money to do/get these things, but you could definitely tell who was using the system by the things that they said.

Things do need to get fixed, but unfortunately I don't see that happening soon.

She needs a nanny. I would never work with her. Here's why: The snotty way she wrote "I would prefer you not to have any children as you'll be more concerned for them than mine"

Obviously she doesn't get that DCP's do not act this way. When I have all the DCK's here, I care for and supervise them equally and do not put one child of more importance than another. I hate people that are off-putting in their ads.

My mom on assistance: has no car and rides the bus, has not had a haircut for herself in a year, her food stamp money often runs out with 7 to 10 days left in the month, ALWAYS barely makes rent, has no cell, Tv, computer. She works and does her best every day to make sure the kids are clean, happy and not too hungry. She waits in line every other day to get free bread.
I just scratch my head at these tales of women raking in tons of cash and having nice cars and toys from "living well" on assistance. I just have never once seen that.:confused:

nannyde isnt the only one who lives in a state that gives so much out just listen to what tnis lady gets every month for benefits.
