    8 Month Old

I have a new 8 month old that I started part time this week. Today is her second day and all she does CRY. If you look at her she cry's. If you try to talk to one of the other kids, she cry's. no matter what she cry's. Any advice? Terming is not an option, and the only kids I have had this age, eaither started with me at 6 weeks so they were fine, or started with me after 18 months. I get that she needs to get used to it here. But nothing is helping. Thanks

And I will add. Its not a fussy, uncomfortable cry. Its a screaming can't breath cry.

Oh wow, that's rough. I just started a new dcg last week, and was in a similar situation. Everyday she gets better though, so there is light at the end of the tunnel. I think part time is even harder because they just about get used to your routine, and then they are back to being home, with grandma, etc. I say give it time, and take a deep breath. I have been enjoying a glass of wine nightly since mine started, but I remember from previous dc kids, it gets easier.

I agree. Part time is WAY harder. normally I don't do part time but she will go to full time in Jan. Like today, everyone only napped for 30 min becasue she just cry's and she keeps waking everyone up. but even with everyone happy the min someone makes a noise she starts screaming again. I feel so bad for her but at the same time she is perfectly fine . Shes even playing with toys while she cry's . Just don't get it

I would never do a part time infant. And there are a lot of providers on this site that wont do it either. 90% of them are criers and there is nothing you can do about but let them cry or term.

This is a first for me also. Im having a baby in Jan and by taking her part time now, I will get her and her brother full time in Jan when I open back up. So its kind of a two for one deal . If I can make it till then of course
