    OT: Cats Going Crazy

I rescued 2 cats a few months back who have been a wonderful addition to my family. We just can't get enough of them.

I trained them just like a DCK....

    breakfast at 7
    lunch at 1
    and dinner at 8

they go to bed at 1030 every night in their own room (aka laundry room)

Well they got fixed about 2 weeks and since then, they have been NUTS. they run like mad all over the house, jump on everything, climbed the curtains, don't want to go to bed at night and OMG they want constant attention that they will jump on my lap any time I sit down.

I don't really mind it so much, but my kids and hubby say they keep them awake at night now.... I thought that having them fixed would calm them???

any ideas how I can get them back on their schedule? they are both 7 months old now

You do know that cat's are nocturnal by nature right?

Also, dogs WANT to please their masters.

Cats think they ARE the masters.

Good luck with any sort of "training" ::

yes I do know that they are, but I am wondering why all of a sudden they are so nuts all day and all night....

oh and yes they both think they are the masters. yesterday the bigger one was sleeping in my tub with a refusal to get out so I could shower. I did something mean and lightly turned the water on, he wasn't to phased at first but when I opened the water the rest of the way he bolted...............

My cat is almost 19. He eats when he wants, sleeps when he wants, gets on my lap when he wants and pees wherever he wants. He acts like a grumpy old man!
