what the what? I'm wondering......$30 an hour? So if they shop 4 hours that's $120......couldn't they just buy those items at regular price then? And have a normal dinner?

Wow. It's sad that Thanksgiving has become a holiday of greed when it should be a holiday of being grateful.

I don't Black Friday shop at all but if I did, it would be on FRIDAY. Not Thanksgiving. That's supposed to be a special time.

HA. State what Thanksgiving means to you... obviously it means exactly $30/hour to applicants.

In a society that values material things more than quality time with loved ones, NOTHING surprises me anymore.

Ads like this are far more common than we realize.

          It's a shame.

What WE were thankful for a few years back is no longer what folks are thankful for today.

          Parenting has changed
          Priorities have changed
The meaning of certain holidays have also changed.

The kids don't know Thanksgiving from Memorial Day. Why do the meal? Just hire a babysitter and do Turkey Day on Sunday.

Maybe I should put out an ad and get some kids over here! Let's see, if I charged $30 an hour and had 6 kids, that's $180 an hour! For 5 hours that's $900! Now I need to write a craigslist ad cha-Ching!

LOL, that was my favorite part too. Why don't you give a person a list and send them Black Friday shopping if you are going to pay that much?

This is why we are not doing black Friday at all!
Every year I would buy my kids laptops, phones, clothes, etc.
I just felt ridiculous standing in those lines and spending all that money.
This year we are focusing on each other and doing things together.
                      We are essentially "skipping" Christmas..
The week of Christmas we are staying at the Queen Mary Hotel and just getting a couple small presents for each other. Then Sea world, and just playing board games and baking and stuff.

These parents will learn soon enough that time is more important than "things"

Too much reliance on 'stuff.' I like material things too, but we don't go into debt on the holidays. Give me a gift card to Goodwill or some Pyrex for my collection..I'm good. All this plastic crap and consumerism has got to go. These parents really anger me. Symptom of a bigger problem. Also, a master's degree doesn't automatically make you an awesome person, great with kids. Clueless yuppies.

My fave part is that a masters degree is required to put kids in front of Dora the Explorer for most of the time. LOL if someone has a masters, especially in ECE, they would know that isn't what these kids should be doing during that time and for $30/hr I would hope for some interaction.
