    Sick (Maybe) SA, wwyd?

Bare with me, this might be long.

*Dcg is in public school. 5yo

Dcg got sick at school yesterday. Dcg went home from school.

Dcm and dcd sent dcg to school today. Dcg is supposed to come to daycare after school today (it's one of her regular after school days)

Would you let her come to daycare after school today knowing she was sick yesterday and went home from school?

*before anyone jumps on me, I have already decided about today. Just want to know what others would do in this situation.

I probably would as long as she didn't get sent home from school today. But it would also depend on the sickness.

If she was well enough to go to school and stay there I would take her.

I had the same thought as every one else. If she went to school & stayed I would pick her up. I was more surprised the school allowed her to attend given that she puked the day before but *shrugs* that's on them, not me.

So to answer your question, yeah I picked her up.

My policies state that if a child has thrown up ANY time within 24 hours prior to being at daycare, they can't come.

If she went home from school yesterday because she threw up, she would not be allowed to attend daycare.

Following through on that is on the parents. If they tried to send her to daycare anyways, I would be livid.

Same rules about illness apply to everyone.

If they still sent her to school the next day, that's between them and the school.

Even given the 24 hr policy (which I also have) she threw up between 9 & 9:30am on Monday and I wasn't scheduled to pick her up until 3:00pm on Tuesday. Meaning it had been 29.5 to 30 hrs since she threw up.

                    True.

The time frames never even occurred to me. I was thinking in terms of yesterday, today..she threw up yesterday = stays home tomorrow.

With the times, it makes sense now.
