And it very stressful for the other kids.
What To Say On Dropping Infant Hours?

Sorry, I don't have any advice, but I had/have the same baby and same mom and dad. It's so frustrating that they think we want to deal with the screaming all day, yet they won't. My dh and I used to joke that they bring him when they don't work because they can't deal with him, sadly it was true. One day mom took a "wellness" day off of her nanny job, yes she nannied for her friend, so her child could come here!
I still have this child and thankfully he doesn't scream and cry all day anymore , but mom and dad still bring him here every day that they have off. The little guy is even having a procedure done on Mon. where he has to have a tube down his nose for 24 hours and she still wants to maybe bring him and BOTH parents have the day off!- Flag

So, if she's there from 8-1, you'd put her down for a morning nap, right?
I would give her an hour to play, then lay her down from 9 to at least 10 (longer if she is sleeping). Personally, at 4 1/2 I would lean towards CIO if necessary.
Then, some outside time might help, and before you know it, it's time to go home.

That's basically the schedule 9am nap. Super fussy the first hour she is here. Immediately wakes up crying...the second she realizes she isn't being held. If all her needs are met I don't have a problem letting her cry while we all attempt to go about our day. Unfortunately it is just one of those awful awful cries that makes you want to invest in ear plugs. I also have another four month old in care who is like an angel baby. My mom/sub doesn't even want to sub for me because of this child.- Flag

Usually 45 minutes but with lots of whimpering and crying trying to wake back up. But some good two hour naps maybe every other day. Parents always act surprised when I say she took a two hour nap. I think it depends on how early she gets up and if they put her down for a nap before bringing her over.
Unfortunately she startles easily so it's stressful trying to not make too much noise. I can't move her upstairs because I husband works nights/sleeps days. She is in a close room but our house echoes pretty badly.- Flag

Same with the 5 mo I have here. He'll be gone all next week, and I already told mom the next week will be hell here. He's going to visit family in CA, and you know it'll be pass-the-baby-around for the whole time. Mom holds him ALOT, but he's s l o w l y realizing we don't play that way here.- Flag
