    Disinfecting...

All the kids keep getting sick!! The past month has been horrible! I am getting tired of spraying down each individual toy and wiping them clean throughout the day (sticks toy in mouth) and again at night. How does everyone else disinfect their toys? Is there a faster/easier way? Also what spray do you use?

    First, try and relax.

Second, a lot of what we can catch is in the air.

Open the windows and air your house out, take the kids out and play. Cold air activates the immune system.

Clean like you are already doing. I clean the big things once a week, a few small things each day, and whatever is mouthed at the end of the day.

I use either vinegar and water or a bleach solution.

I needed this advice, too. Thanks!

did you know there is different likes of bleach??!! I just found the other day! Some only whiten and DO NOT disinfect! I had the wrong kind and I thought I was disinfecting when in reality, I was doing nothing.

This is true! Here, we are only allowed to use regular bleach. No scented or anything like that.

I Lysol or spray bleach water on the toys at night. I also watch to see what is put into mouths and immediately set that toy aside after they are done playing with it. Sometimes I do the 3 step process with groups of toys, which is wash in soap water, then rinse, then soak in bleach water and let air dry. Some providers use their dishwasher to clean toys.

And remember, hand washing is key!
