Okay, I have a dcb whose dad is on a base in South Carolina.
Mom goes every so often to see him. Last week, dcb didn't show up and I texted her. She said they went to SC and will be back Thursday. I reminded her that I need notice for things like that. She said sorry, I will mail you the check and I decided to be nice and waive the late fees.
Thursday came, no dcb. Text mom. She says an emergency came up they will be in on Tuesday. Ok..
Tuesday, she texts and says they are still in SC, dcb got an ear infection. They will be back on Thursday. I told her I was nice last week but this week late fees apply and I still hadn't gotten paid from last week. She sent her nephew over (they live across the street) with the money she owed me from last week and this week.
This morning, she texts and says sorry, something came up and she won't be back in Texas at all so dcb won't be returning. Thanks for all you did.
I require a two week notice. Dcb has not been I attendance but I was under the impression that he was coming back.
Would you pursue the two weeks notice or let it go? I'm not sure what exactly "came up".
