    Wow,seriously??

I'd have told the child that it was either anywhere else or a pb and j at home but I don't think Dad deserved what he got for what he did. I've been sent to bed without dinner plenty of times as a kid.

I know he's saying it's the not taking him to mcdonalds that got his visitation taken away, but I think it was more that he didn't feed his son dinner that night at all. Not that I disagree with that, given that his son had a choice and chose not to eat, but I can't imagine it was truly because his son didn't get fast food.

And now we know why children behave the way they do. This kid just won the standoff and mommy got her big friends to help him. Ugh

Btw. My son battles me at the dinner table nightly and about a week ago when he was not eating I said you can eat your food or go to bed. He chose go to bed.

So guess I'm a bad parent.

Agreed. And the wife taking him to McDonalds..nice support there, mom. That kid is going to be so screwed up.

That was our house Tuesday evening. My son wouldn't eat dinner, so he either sat and ate or did NOT. His choice. I do NOT offer substitutions. He ended up eating his quinoa and vegetables. (No haddock, but whatev.)

I went to bed without dinner many times if I refused to eat it, or only ate part. I cannot imagine my parents giving into a temper tantrum!

Am I missing something here, or is this just a poorly written article?! I get what it's saying, but had to re read it a few times. Maybe it's just me...

Shouldn't mom lose custody for habitually feeding her kid processed junk & endangering his health? Good on dad...but that can't be the whole story.

Father offered food. Child opted not to eat. Father did his job. Child made his choice. Mom made a total mess of things.

IDK, there is not enough info... The source is well known for that and retractions... Everything in this story is one sided.

I'd like to see the FULL report. I'd have my suspicion that this was simply one of many "debatable" episodes for anyone to reach that conclusion.
