How do I keep him out of everthing he isn't supposed to be in?! He drags my kitchen chairs all over, pulls my rugs around, pulls pillows off the couches, into the dog kennel, dog dishes, etc. He doesn't play with toys. I use the exersaucer (it is legal here), and I am thinking of buying one of those big play yards to put in the middle of the living room with lots of toys. What do you all think?? I am soooooooooooo worn out from constantly redirecting him. So unless I suspend everything from the ceiling, I am not sure what else to do.
9 month old into EVERYTHING!

This is why, until they understand how to play with the activities, and understand what no means, I keep my younger ones in my PlayZone Sights and Sounds play area. It keeps them safe, gives them the freedom to move/crawl/walk around, and keeps them out of the things they don't belong in. Makes life so much easier for all involved. This is not my PlayZone Sights and Sounds, but I have this one too.

It is a tough age! My daycare room is pretty much all kid safe-it's only used for daycare, so I haven't experienced it quite that bad. Will he play with a toy if you sit on the floor with him for a bit to get him interested in it? Can you block off the area with the dog stuff? A play yard would definately keep him out of stuff! I have one, but I've never used it to put kids in, I use it to keep kids out of places, like I have 4 sides around my treadmill.
Good luck, he sounds like he'll really be a handful when he starts walking- Flag

I don't have that much of a problem anymore but before we did our addition I had the exact same issues, it's so tiring. I don't know what it is with their obsession over the kitchen chairs ugh, My only issues now is he (9 mo old) pulls the dvd's off the racks, so right now I keep the exersaucer in front of it so he can't get into them, but soon I'll be moving those to higher ground, and the other thing he keeps doing is pulling my strip off the wall, I have this paper made out of cardboard (things teachers decorate their classrooms with), I use it as a wall protector behind the little chairs at the table and he pulls it off all the time, so I may have to pull those down too for awhile, so far redirecting isn't too bad.- Flag
