    Why Can't I Have...

    more dcp's like dcg3.5?

DCM comes in yesterday and pays for both Nov and Dec because she is so irritated at herself that she keeps forgetting to pay on time. Then adds an extra week of payment and says to keep it for the inconvenience. THEN asks how many weeks I take off for Xmas- I say just eve and day. She and says "That is HORRIBLE! You work too hard! You should take off MUCH more time!"

Reminds me of a family I nannied for in college! The mom asked how much I would charge per hour, and I said $10/hour. She smiled and pointed up and said, "You can charge more than that!" And I was like.. "Um, 12?" And she pointed up AGAIN! I ended up with $15/hour!

Wonderful family, three really fun girls. They are now old enough to be babysitters for my infant son. Love that family.

I have one parent who keeps congratulating me for taking off holiday and getting paid for it. Then I have the extreme parent, who lives in a huge house in the village, has 2 car payments and makes a crap load more than me, plus gets paid for all of her holidays, sick days and vacation days but is constantly trying to figure out how to screw me out of a days pay here and there. She constantly complains about having to pay me for holidays

I love nice parents! I had a parent bring me a couple new toys yesterday. The kids have been liking this baby doll toy and I was saying that I need to get some toys to go with the baby and she showed up at pick up time with a high chair for the doll and a bottle and sippy cup for the doll. It was super cute. She also gives me gift cards once and a while and brings fruit every single day even though I provide food and always have plenty of fruit, she is just really nice and they are very financially stable.

Oh yeah, that is here too- I have another family that is just as well off who act like we charge them a fortune- DCB here open to close, parents bring him on every single vacation day, complain when paying, when he is excluded for illness, when they have to bring supplies, etc. BUT they won't leave because they are "grandfathered" in at our rate from 3 years ago and could never get anywhere close to that good of a price anywhere else.
