I am definitely raising my rates. Since all mine (except 1) are under 2, and under 2 spots are at a premium, I'd like to raise them at least $10 per child. I found out what the centers around here charge, and at $130 a week vs. their $4 per hour, I am quite a bit lower. I don't think they charge for absent days, though. Not sure how to find out without being obvious.
If anyone has a really great contract they'd like to share, please do (or pm me). Mine is pretty basic, but I feel like there are things missing. I also have a PHB, which is 11 pages long and rarely gets read. It's too dang long, but the state has all these required parts. So, parents see it at the interview, and then forget most of it. This has not been an issue, though, honestly.
