Picking up a Part Time Job

After getting notice from one of my full time kids (over 2, very hard spot to fill) and not getting any calls with care inquiries, and bills pilling up, I've decided to get a part time job on the weekends... Sure, it may mean working 7 days a week but I don't know what else to do. Having adult interaction is going to be nice, I am looking forward to that. :: A restaurant I used to serve at is going to look at their schedule and try to fit me in. I'm not sure what I'll be doing but if I get a Saturday night serving (its fine dining) I can make 3x what I make in a day doing childcare. That kind of scares me. I have known that I made more money serving but having the reality of that IN MY HAND is going to be tempting... Just think... walking out the door after a 9 hour shift with $400.00 in hand... *le sigh* I really hope its a serving shift ::::

I feel ya sister! After Dec 20th I will be down to 1 kid 3-4 days a week and 1 SA kid after school! I am kinda freaking out about it but trying not to. I have a friend who does daycare a block away and she's almost full most days and over 1 day a week. She asked if I would be willing to help her again (I used to be her asst before starting my own daycare) and while it ****s, I'm making decent money hourly working for her so if I work 3.5hrs for her there it's the same money as 1 kid here all day. LOL sooooo yeah it may just work out better to be her asst and get paid hourly on those days until I can find more kids!
I have approached a preschool/lg daycare down the street about referrals for under 2 since they only take over 2 but no reply. <sigh>

I had to pick up a part-time. I got hired at JCPenny's on last week, just waiting on my background check to come back. Good luck!

Thanks! I start this weekend and its going to be so busy. We have a big Waterfowl festival in town and its always packed. People come from all over the place to come to this festival. Its going to be a crazy first weekend back.

I used to serve awhile ago and the money was so great! I've actually applied at a couple of places a few months ago for weekend only shifts and didn't receive a response . I don't know if it's because of my limited availability or if I'm over-qualified . At this point, starting in the new year I HAVE to get a second weekend-only job. I want to completely pay off our debt next year because we want to purchase a house and it will be near impossible to pay it all off in 8/9 months otherwise.
