Hi, I have been caring for a young boy for about 9months now. He is close to 18mos old.
He had gotten sick very fast. mom and I thought it was teething but at the same time felt it could be something more since he got worse in a matter of days.
last thursday I took care of him, he did not seem so sick. just wouldn't eat much. this had been going for about 3 weeks. He used to be my good eaters.
monday she brought him in and the lilttle time he was here. he was very lethargic and he looked worse. called mom to let her know.she picked up to take him to doc.
yesterday morning she called me letting me know the doc sent them to a specialist. Doc suspected it be leukimia. later in the evening she calls me again and confirms it is infact leukimia.
I am very sad and I don't know what to say to mom to help her with this situation.
I've never been in this kind of situation care of a child who's gotten this sick. I have so many thoughts running through my mind. I am sick with worry now.
Prayers and advice would be greatly appreciated.
