New Part Time Boy Is A Big Screamer

Well, I am back at it! After being off for about a year and a half I have decided to do my small home daycare p/t only and boy WHAT A BIG MISTAKE.
I offer Mon-Wed-Fri and have 3 boys those days 16-20 months.

1 of which is just struggling to adjust or what I thought was adjusting. Turns out Mum let me know nobody will ever watch him as he is very hard to care for. All he does is WAIL not a little whine or cry it's ear shattering and he sets everyone else off. They have been here since Septemer

I know with P/T the transition is that much longer or more difficult with some kiddos but he is over the top.
Is there any suggestions on helping him transition, to stop the screaming anything?

I always feel bad terming or not trying my hardest to make things work, but I am just suffering and so are the other kids with this screamer. It's not fair to anyone
Lol I guess I just answered my own question.

Yes, I agree....you just answered your own question.

I think a lot of times that guilt that providers feel for not trying long/hard enough to make things works is in actuality making things worse.

Some kids are simply not cut out for daycare. period. NOTHING you can do to change that.

It isn't fair to any of the other kids and it certainly isn't fair to you.

I would politely and honestly term. You will feel better about it and the stress will be so much less for you.

There probably isn't anything you can do to "fix" it.

Notifying them is the hard part. Once you tell them, you will feel so relieved and feel so much less stress....that part is immediate.

Deep breathes....it will be ok.
