I can respect that..... I don't have a very long illness policy and I do go over 100% of it with them before they enroll. I could really care less about much else than that. Well that and late pick up and late payments, which I still pretty much play that one case by case..... everything else I am pretty flexible on.

I would like to interject that our local public school actually administers the flu shot AT SCHOOL.

I'm curious as to why they would do that if the cdc recommends exclusion at least same day?

      That makes no sense?

          OH. That makes sense.

Nobody here excludes for vax except same day. I WILL accept one same day depending. I took baby CJ for his first shots last month and he came home with me too haha. I'm crazy yes.

****I**** am saying they have no right to be upset if it was in her policies that they signed. We all have different policies and we expect our parents to follow them or they shouldn't choose that provider.

I also exclude for 24 hours after vaccinations and expect parents to make those appointments on a Friday or another day that they don't plan on bringing them.
I know I read somewhere, I think on here, about a child recieving vaccinations and having a bad reaction the next day at daycare and it was horrible. I just choose not to put myself in that predicament.
One thing that also sticks out to me is how many families say their children were 100% normal and developing on track until right after they received immunization and then were eventually diagnosed as autistic. Isn't that part of the argument for the non-vaccinating parents?
I'm not trying to offend anyone, I believe its your right to do what you think is in the best interest of your child. I know there are studies debunking the study that related vaccinations to autism and that the original study wasn't dependable but after you read 100's of parents saying the same thing you do start to wonder.
As child care providers we get blamed for everything even bumps and scratches they walk in with sometimes. We have to protect ourselves.
