    Sparking Potty Interest

DS just turned 28 mos old. He is not interested in potty training what so ever. He loves to watch Caillou so we ordered him a potty book from Amazon and a little Caillou doll. I said that Caillou heard he was going to start using the potty and sent this gift. I was hoping this would help light the flame but, still he shakes his head and says no when I ask if he wants to sit on the potty. He has watched his brother pee standing so I have even tried holding him up and putting the step stool in front so he can stand but, still nothing. Obviously, I don't want to force him because that will do neither of us any good but, have any of you got any other ideas that could spark some interest? I think our other DS trained himself at 3 but, he was using the toilet since 17 mos, just not consistently. By the end of my maternity leave with DS2 he was trained. Maybe I just don't remember doing it since I had the baby and most of my time was spent bfing and diapering!::

I mentioned this somewhere else. Since they are boy brothers they might compete. A few Cheerios in the toilet. See who can sink them. It becomes a competition on who can aim better.

Hmmm, thanks I will try that. Just a while ago right before his bath I asked him if he wanted to go and he said no!
