It's Supposed to Storm Tomorrow! :(

A bad storm is supposed to come through with the worst of it being between 3 and 6 pm tomorrow! I'm so bummed!

Any ideas on what to do with my kids since it looks like trick or treating is cancelled?

    Any suggestions are appreciated!

Well trick or treating will probably be rescheduled by your community.

As for what to do instead, go buy some candy today, then tomorrow hunker down with popcorn, candy, and some Halloween movies and just veg.

      Movie and popcorn sounds good!

Are neighborhood isn't very "together" it's older and no one really talks to each other so we probably won't get to reschedule

Gosh, that's so different from here. Here it is set by community, not neighborhood, so the entire city of Columbus, the entire city of Worthington, of Westerville, etc, each set ToT for the same time/night. MOST are the 31st from 6-8.

Check your local businesses! Our mall has an indoor trick or treating fun night with bounce houses and more. Our Homemakers also has it too.

            Jeez, that sounds nice.

My part of Texas seems unfriendly whenever I get a chance to hear about other peoples towns.

Our malls offer trick or treating, the local college dorms do too and many of the local churches have either an indoor party or trunk or treating. Does your local newspaper or an online local calendar offer options?

It's supposed to rain here, too.

My kids are doing ToT tonight at the mall with grandparents, and if it rains tomorrow, we have back up plans with the inlaws, Halloween movies and they ALWAYS bring junk food and pizza with them so the kids won't be too disappointed

I'm bummed, but plan on getting out the umbrellas and going out anyway for a bit! If it were going to be dangerous then we would see if the mall was TOT'ing.

That said, I'm not sure if it's just my area, but we only ToT on Halloween, there are no set days, rescheduling, rules, etc. I'm a traditionalist so I like it that way
