    Business Cards In Treat Bags..

I'm getting ready to put together my halloween treat bags. So, I'm wondering how many of you hand out business cards? Do they go in the bag or separately? Have you gotten any clients that way?

    Any input is appreciated!

I did it one year. I taped it to a package of pretzels I was giving out.

When my grandkids dumped out their bags there were several cards for all kinds of businesses.

As far as I know, I didn't get any clients from this, but then not many children come down my street for some unknown reason.

I put stickers on pretzel bags a few years ago. I never received a single call from it.

I taped my business card to candy I handed out one year and never got a single call. I did deduct the cost of the candy on my taxes though as an advertising expense

I think its fun and i would like to get a couple calls from it but if not, at least i tried.

A while back I bought 100 of these white paper bags. (less than $15) for something else (not daycare related but advertising related)

I took them down to the local print shop and had them print my info on them. I think they charged me about $15 to print them all.

I didn't ask for images or anything. Just had words printed on them.

If you print your business cards yourself, you can get stickers to make the process easier

                  This is a great idea!!

We go trick or treating 20 minutes from here in a subdivision we've been going to for five years even after my best friend moved out . I LOVE IT THERE.

I live in the woods, so I never get trick or treaters and gosh that's one of my favorite things about Halloween but oh well!!

Mine are little ghost bags with playdough, spider ring, glow stick, sheet of stickers and 8 pieces of candy plus a business card. They cost a small fortune and hours to make. If I don't get any clients, I'm definitely not doing it again

Ps I don't get many trick or treaters anyway so it is a bit of a fools errand to begin with....

Love it! I going to hand the cards to the parents. If they are interested they will take them. If not, not harm.

ps..., I recent sent letters (on DC letterhead) & business cards to the HR depts of the local businesses. I mentioned I wasn't asking them to endorse my business, but some employees maybe in need of childcare. I got a few clients that way.

Last year I handed out fruit snacks and punched a hole into the corner of each one. I put a "business card" on it with wrapping ribbon and curled the ends so they were super cute! I didn't receive any calls either! This year I am working at 5pm so I won't be here and DH will be taking our kids out. But, we took them last week to DH's nursing home where he works to trick or treat so technically I saw them and got pictures already and got to trick or treat with them!

I think these are all awesome ideas! Even if nothing came from it in the past, at least people saw it and probably thought "oh, what a fun place to do something so cute." So maybe it will have an impact anyhow.

I think it's a neat idea. My front door opens right into my playroom and the trick-or-treaters always want to come in and play. Many parents comment, too, and I end up explaining that it's a daycare (never mind the sign right there). I am full and have been bombarded with calls lately for care, but I think I'm going to do one of these anyway!

I did the business cards in the treat bags many years ago. If I remember correctly, I believe I picked up 1 family that Halloween.
