I just opened a new childcare center. I was curious about accepting Childcare Assistance. I cant seem to get a straight answer and just wanted to know if I have to contact anyone before I do it or If I can just fill out the voucher and send it in. Any help would be appreciated. I'm in Kentucky.

I am not sure about your state, but in my state we have to be approved/signed up to receive payments through the child care assistance program. We have to re-sign yearly.
There may be a couple members from Kentucky here that will chime in and answer your question. The weekdays are a bit busier here than the weekends. -
Here in ms we also have to sign up, submit to a child abuse and neglect registry check and get "approved" and given a "number" before we can accept.
When the family goes to sign up they give them my facility number... And then when it's processed I get emailed the child's voucher with a start date.Comment
