SAHM- 20 minutes before pickup-- "Hey, I just want to let you know I will be picking DCG up late today, we are getting ready to go shopping in Annapolis (1 hours away). I'll let you know when we are coming back across the bridge."

Umm NO. Obviously I told her to take dcg with her because that was not happening.

Worst request ever was.....dcm asked every holiday if I could watch her child because I am with kids anyways, meaning my own children. She was a nsingle mom and preffered to spend her days off, even holidays, with her boyfriends. I would take the child if it were not horribly inconvenient because I felt so bad for him. My home was probably the only family experience he ever had.

I apply that saying to a lot of things in my daily life. It's a problem.

The day before Thanksgiving one of her dcm's came in with a whole uncooked turkey and asked her to cook it for her because she was going to be too busy to do it herself!!! Sadly she was so shocked by the request she actually cooked the darn thing!

I was wondering if there were any CFers here. That particular tale was just to bizarre to ever forget!

When I worked in a preschool, I had a parent tell me in a stern voice that her child was to wear his snow pants everyday that she packed them. (I got along well with her, but she was a parent that was very intimidating). She was very surprised to find her son, in the sandbox, wearing snow pants on a 70" day. She had packed them, and so I followed the orders. She looked horrified when she picked him up, but I think she learned her lesson

seems like almost all of these requests are form parents that just dont think before they speak and have no concept of group care. thats why i love to work for teachers!

                                There's a few of us

The time that provider (I think it was her) had a dck pull down her pants in front of dcd belongs in the embarrassing moments thread too!

Gosh she had some fun stories!
