    Ouch!

Ouch!! Cleaning up this morning, got the vacuum out and smashed my little toe. It is now broken. Taking care of kids with a broken toe is extremely difficult! Thank goodness it is now nap time!

I know how you feel! Last month I ran into an air vent that sticks out of the wall and I think I broke my toe. You don't realize how much you really use something until it's hard to use! It's not fun!

Oh no! You poor thing! Take some Tylenol, ice and elevate at naptime, storytime, whenever you can. Do not take Ibuprofen as it can delay healing in bone breaks. If the break is bad enough, sometimes a doctor needs to reset it. I'm so sorry!

Curious where did you get that info on no Advil? I have always- even recently been told to take Advil (ibuprofen) to help with pain and swelling. I've never heard it suggested not too- I have also been a medic for a fb team so I have dealt with my fair share of injuries.
          Thanks!

 That hurts! I broke my little toe a few years ago on the vacuum and a few months later the middle toe on my other foot running into the corner of a china hutch. Keep it iced and make sure to tape it to another toe. My little one never did heal right from constantly being on it. With the second one, I learned my lesson and stayed off it whenever possible.

I feel your pain. I did it twice on a wooden rocking chair in my daycare space. Gorgeous chair. But after the second broken toe, out it went.

              Feel better soon!

Google it-you will find lots of information to sift through. I worked with one of the top orthopedic surgeons in the Bay Area. He works on the 49ers players, Raiders players, Sharks, Giants and A's. There is a time and a place that ibuprofen may be helpful, but typically not on a break and I just wouldn't chance it.

The day is finally over! Now I can laid down with it elevated! It was an extremely difficult day. Thank you all for your kind words and stories! I felt like a huge klutz when I did it. Lol
