We drink a lot of water, and our kids really like the little flavored packets in it. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to supply these for daycare or not. They do say sugar free, but in my opinion aren't really necessary.

Omg... seriously??
I have parents tell me ALL THE TIME "S/he doesn't drink water... only juice (or milk)" which is NEVER true, all my kids end up drinking water within a day or two here because it's all I serve.
This kid WOULD drink more than pop if his parents didn't give in.
I personally would not take this family - that's a hugely stupid decision for a parent to make on behalf of their child and I know there's no way this is the only area they are being bad parents. NEXT!- Flag

This stood out to me as I was reading other post, I guess it didn't the first time I read your post- Funny how that sometimes happens....I am talking about the bolded part above...
I agree with you because so many studies on food/drink consumptions of how they effect our bodies, let alone growing children and childrens brain development, not like back in the day when it was normal thing to do because of lack of health information other then it will rot your teeth. Most parents should know that giving a child soda is not healthy for them and I agree with you stupid on the parents part.
As far as adding those packets, I have to wonder about any additives and how good they are for you- best practice is plain food, squeeze some lemon or lime into the water if you feel the need to change it up.- Flag

Sugar free is NOT healthier than "real" sugar. It's all crap...just different crap.- Flag

I was told by a parent that their daughter would only drink juice. Now she drinks water and milk. I do not serve juice (except for Orange juice at breakfast occasionally). They adjust pretty quickly.- Flag
