Do you have anything in your contract about funerals that you will be closing for? I plan on just closing without pay, but want to hear what everyone has in their contracts. I have a lot of family members getting up there in age, so over the next few years, it may happen more than I want it to. TIA

I don't have anything specific, I just have that in case I can't run the daycare, either my sub will or I'll be closed
I would think that in a funeral is considered unexpected therefor I would treat it like an emergency -
nothing specific in my contract either. But I have had to close for a funeral. I just told all the parents that I'd be closed. I would have closed without pay for the day, but everyone just paid for it anyways.Comment
