Good morning. I have been caring for a 6 month old for the past month now and she still screams the entire time she is here. I have a major HEADACHE this morning because she has been screaming since 8:00 am and it is now 10:43.I have made up my mind to term and I can't even think of how to begin writing a term letter for her. Would someone be so kind to word one for me please? Thanks in advance!

Please accept this as notice of termination of our child care services agreement.
At this time, I feel I cannot provide the care Sally requires. The last day I am willing to provide care is xxx, October XX, 2013.
I am including the number to the local CCR&R office to aide you in your search for new care arrangements.
Sincerely,
Child Care Provider
I am assuming this family probably already knows this is coming since it's been going on for a while?....
I wouldn't say too much other than you are just not able to provide the type of care the child needs (which in my opinion is one-on one) and thus terming for that reason only.
Good luck! Your stress levels WILL appreciate it!- Flag

First of all, are the parents aware that the child cries a lot in care? And are they paid up for this week? Depending on these answers would vary how I would compose a letter to them. If they know about the crying, I would write:

I would also add to dad that by "spoiling" her they are essentially hindering her ability to grow and progress through the normal first year milestones. If a child is constantly held they cannot learn how to crawl, walk or roll without difficulties and need precious tummy time. It's amazing how a parent changes their tune when they realize it is not for their child's betterment. You may have already said this to them but it obviously isn't clicking with them if you have.- Flag
