Slightly Off Topic But Give Me Ideas

I wanted to create small busy bags for my older three to be left in the car. My husband is working a lot lately and many times, I have to take all the kids along for errands and they are starting to really hate the car.

No small parts in the bags or things I will end up having to clean up....such as stickers. My husband will be really upset if the kids get stickers all over the seats.

Keep in mind that I have a 2 year old as well as a special needs 4 year old plus the almost 6 year old.

    What would you suggest?

Magnadoodles (the dollar store has the small kind), etch a sketch, aquadoodle ( a little more money) felt books, color wonders markers, glowboards (a little more money unless you can find them used)

for the two year old, golf balls, old credit cards in an envelope

for the six year old, a craft? like weaving or large crochet

I also go to my local thrift shop, stock up on cheap toys and hide them in the car.

What about an I-Spy bingo game? I have seen free printable sheets on-line that were made just for car trips.

acually we have a diaper wipe container (they are the best) filled with card games (my kkids are older) and we have a travel size blockus game. And also fill it full of mcdonalds toys. Omg my kids love them. They can sit for ever and play with them.

My kids have those back of the seat organizing things. Right now they have a fold out piece of green felt with cut up jeans for tracks and small cars. They put it on their lap and play.

It also has a cheapy MP3 in it for my 6 & 4yo. ODS and ODD have their own ipods.

Yet another vote for magnadoodle; it's our biggest car hit.

I once made something like this for a long trip, but using a clear bottle, and it worked very well.
